Sahaja Yoga Meditation integrates all religions so today we would like to honor Buddhas birthday which is celebrated on the full moon of May. Buddha was the one who taught how to overcome our Ego – all the false identifications we have about ourselves.
This was a challenging task but with Sahaja Yoga Meditation it is something that we can achieve despite our normal day to day life with family, jobs, etc.
So how is Sahaja Yoga Meditation different from other spiritual practices? – you may wonder. The difference is that Sahaja Yoga Meditation starts with the Awakening of your Kundalini. One of the first things you will experience is to feel – what we call – the vibrations in your hands. These vibrations show you your own inner state and with simple clearing techniques you have the ability to always bring back yourself into a balance, understand where you need to make changes in your life, and by meditating and clearing yourself on a daily basis transform yourself into a higher personality.
Now Buddha told three things which are very important, which are very useful for Sahaja Yogis to follow. He said,
.
“Buddham Sharanam Gachami. – I surrender myself to the enlightened one.”
.
Means what? I surrender myself to the one who is enlightened. In this case one can say it was Buddha. In your case it is your Spirit. You surrender yourself to your Spirit.
“Buddham Sharanam Gachami.” Buddha means the one which knows..
Then He says another thing,
.
“Dhammam Sharanam Gachami”,
.
means surrender yourself to the religion, which is true religion, which is the balance.
So what we find in every religion, there are problematic things but once you come to this pure religion, then you see the essence of it and the essence of it is that, that we are all Spirit and we are all related to each other, we are part and parcel of the whole.
.
So you go to the collective. So at the end He said,
.
“Sangham Sharanam Gachami.”
.
This is the very important point also.
Shri Mataji, 1988-0723
With the Kundalini Awakening we achieve our innate (and therefore true) religion.
But when the Kundalini goes into this Nabhi Chakra, she enlightens our sustenance, our religion which is so innate. Nobody has to tell you that, “Don’t do this, don’t do that.” You yourself become your own master. You yourself become your own guru.
Shri Mataji, 1989-0711

Dr. Rajiv Kumar, economic advisor to the government of India about Shri Mataji’s advice on economics:
“One of the messages of Sahaja Yoga and also of the great Indian traditions has been that the biggest wealth that you can get is that of satisfaction. Once your heart chakra is opened and it works then you get this huge satisfaction and the ability to enjoy what you have rather than crave for ever more.
If all of us became like that then economics could become a science of man’s happiness.”
Dr. Kumar further talks about the importance to liberate and nurture the private enterprises, individuals with their talents, their entrepreneurship and their resources who are the driving force of any economy. In a world that is more and more interconnected it is important to understand that we all are global citizens and it should be our primary understanding to care for the whole world and to focus on the benevolence of humanity rather than divide ourselves into nations, states, etc.
Money is something that comes and goes and apart from that, when we die, we cannot take it with us. What is there to fight for something that is going to be for a transitory period? Your capital is within; within every person; there is a capital within yourself. You have not explored that capital. You have not seen the ocean of that wealth within you.
Shri Mataji, 1982-0927
