The Way to Self-Realisation – the Knowledge of the Spirit
In brief detail, this film shows the story of Sahaja Yoga, and its founder Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi. She discovered and developed a way to bring self-realisation en mass, with the aim of awakening our spiritual selves in a safe, natural and spontaneous (Sahaja) way, that can be physically experienced and verified.
Sahaja Yoga consists of meditation rather than exercises, of introspection, and of opening and cleansing the energy-centers (chakras), thus creating internal tranquility and equilibrium. From the fight for India’s independence and Shri Mataji’s stays with Gandhi, to bringing her message to different countries especially modern-day Britain, the film offers a glimpse of her belief that only by having peace within can we achieve peace in the world.
