We Are All One

A Sahaja Yoga Practitioner’s Insights on Equality in Spirituality and Learning from Each Other

– Steve

A beautiful aspect of Sahaja Yoga is that there is no hierarchy. We are all together, pursuing our growth and our depth. We all have more growth to achieve and we can all learn from one another.

A person who is fairly new to Sahaja Yoga can go very deep very quickly if they practice with consistency and devotion. They may quickly become very strong.

Similarly, if we practice half heartedly we may be limited in our growth, despite the passage of many years. So the notion of people being higher or lower is not a factor. We are all growing together, helping each other, benefitting from each other’s strengths and learning from them.

“There’s nobody great in Sahaja Yoga. Everybody is just the same. Just like all fingers are the same, every cell is the same, everybody is the same. So nobody’s higher and lower. There’s no hierarchy in Sahaja Yoga.

Everybody must understand that we are all one, part and parcel of one body, and we don’t have to consider ourself higher or lower.”

Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, 1990

Forgiveness mantra

A Sahaja Yogi’s Perspective on the Power of Forgiveness and How to Let Go of Anger and Hurt

– Steve

Something that has helped me tremendously has been the idea that Shri Mataji often expressed that forgiveness is a weapon.

I had always looked at forgiveness as a rather passive thing. If something offended or hurt in some way and I felt another person had wronged me or wronged others, I would try to forgive, but it was almost a way of submitting to the wrong that had been done.

Shri Mataji’s simple explanation that forgiveness neutralizes the negativity, frees us from being tortured by the anger or hurt, and fully allows the Divine to act on the situation was revolutionary for me. I have seen this in action at the personal level and also at a broader level.

Forgiveness and joy can cut through the worst of negative situations and with our kundalini flowing we are empowered to use these weapons!

“He [Lord Jesus Christ] has given us the greatest weapon of forgiveness. When you forgive a person, what do you do? You accept the situation, to begin with, and secondly you forgive what you think has been done wrong to you.

But because nothing can be done wrong to your Spirit, you just forgive, because you are the Spirit.

And when you forgive, you have found that your tension goes away. So, even to your thoughts if you say, “Alright, forgive this thought, forgive this thought,” because thought is not to be punished.
“Forgive this thought, forgive this thought, forgive everything.”
Not forget, forgive: because then you will even forget that you are the Spirit! (laughter) But “forgive all the thoughts that are coming to me.” just go on saying. This is a mantra.

What is a mantra? Is that power of the word, that expresses Spirit.”

– Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, 1984

Discovering Divine Love: A Reflection on Shri Mataji’s Timeless Wisdom

A Sahaja Yoga Practitioner’s Experience:

– Sylvia

When I started in Sahaj a booklet was given to the class which includes this quote, which was exactly what I needed to know at the time.

It still fills me with wonder, and security. Hope it does for you as well.
🪷

“The greatest mistake is to close one’s heart. However hurt one may be, remember that within there is someone who always loves you. She is your individual mother, your Kundalini.

She is connected to the all-pervading power of Divine Love, which never abandons you.

In her love, there are no expectations. There is only a tender glow that takes us to her presence.”

Finding Fulfillment: Sahaja Yoga Practices for Personal Growth

A Sahaja Yogi’s Perspective on Accumulating

Collecting and accumulating. People have a lot of stuff. Many of us have an attic, a garage, a storage locker — and they contain a lot of stuff.

I realized recently that now I have the desire to accumulate something else, something that cannot be stored in an attic or garage. I am collecting experiences of love; I am accumulating friends who accept my love and reflect it back to me.

Shri Mataji has told us that if we have things, let them be beautiful and meaningful. And especially, let us use them as tokens of our love and acquire things only so we can give them to others

-Mark

“For a guru, he should not accumulate things. If he has possessions, they should be just for giving away.

All kinds of collections that people have… Whatever things are useful, beautiful, which give happiness and joy to others, to their eyes, such things must be collected. Such things which give the symbol to this life.”

Cultivating Attention in Meditation

Tips for meditation growth:
Sahaja Yoga practitioner’s advice

“We aren’t philosophers, neither masters of our art but just share a bit of advice which has worked out well for us.

One such thing I have learnt is that it’s very hard to be attentive, so many things craving attention these days. So if your attention is always wavering, it’s hard to grow in meditation.

I treat attention like a vital finite resource and choose carefully where I spend it. I wouldn’t put attention on things that go against the qualities of the chakras, that way purified attention nourishes the chakras and helps to get into thoughtless state faster.”

– Hitesh

“In these modern times this confusion is the worst because all the time your attention is outside.
Such an attention then is absolutely like a horse which is let loose. You cannot control such an attention.” -Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi

If you would like to start nurturing your chakras through purified attention and overcome distractions in meditation then please join our FREE online meditation course or access the recordings of the meditation sessions.

𝐄𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐮𝐧

Did you know that the hours between 4-5am hold a secret treasure trove of healing energy?

🌞 Ancient traditions like Ayurveda and Yogic science have sung praises of this magical time, recognizing its ability to nourish, energize, and strengthen our body, mind, and spirit.

For three decades, I’ve been diving deep into Sahaja Yoga Meditation, exploring the inner realms of the subtle system and the flow of vibrations through and around it. Through this unique practice, where my Kundalini energy was awakened, a heightened sensitivity to the subtle energies that surround us was unlocked.
One unforgettable New Year’s night, as the clock struck 4am, something extraordinary happened. All of a sudden, a gentle, cool breeze started to blast out from my hands, a sensation I have felt before but in that moment it was as if a switch was turned on.
It was one of those moments where the universe wanted to show something, a reminder to appreciate the sacredness and the importance of that very special hour. 🕓✨

There’s a palpable difference when I meditate in the early morning versus later in the day. It’s like plugging into a cosmic charger, infusing me with boundless energy and vitality that carries me through the day. And when I sleep in, I can feel the difference – a heavier, more sluggish start to the day.

So, if you’re in need of healing, or you just have a demanding day ahead and need an energy boost consider meditating at that time and welcoming the gentle embrace of the morning sun. 🌅

Nothing can compare to this time of the day when we rise with nature, listen to the sweet symphony of birdsong welcoming the new day, and bask in the healing energy that radiates from the rising sun. 🐦🌿

The way to stay in balance is to sit, to see, enjoy.
In the morning when the sun rises, see the sky; such beautiful colors come.
They go away wasted, unseen.

-Shri Mataji

These morning vibrations hold within them the power to heal, to strengthen, to nourish, and to energize us from the inside out.

It’s a gift from the sun, the ultimate giver of all life. Let’s seize this opportunity to connect with the rhythm of nature and harness its tremendous power for our own well-being. 🌿✨

Exploring the Unseen Within

Back in my teenage years, there was this urge to figure myself out, to venture inside. Yet, it felt like standing in front of a door, locked tight, with no clue on cracking the code. The mystery lingered, questions unanswered.

Then came Sahaja Yoga Meditation, and suddenly, the door swung open. A whole new dimension unveiled itself—a part of me I never knew existed. As Khalil Gibran wisely noted,

“Your hearts know in silence the secrets of the days and the nights.”

It was with the Awakening of a new energy, a new sensation I did not know existed and in the silence of meditation that these secrets began to unravel.

Join me in “Let’s Meditate for 21 Days,” a journey to awaken your inner energy. Guided meditations, clearing techniques, shared insights—it’s like having a quiet conversation with your own self.
