Seekers of Truth – a question of becoming
There are barriers within us,
built in, not because of anything else,
but only because we have misled ourselves.
The word “power” (coming from the Latin word potere) means “to be able to exert a lot of force”. Most of us may associate it with domination and aggression. But there is another form of force, too, equally powerful.
Martin Luther King was such a force. A force that could sweep others away with him to walk a new way into a new future. A tremendous force of benevolence. Of a deep love for humankind. Of an understanding beyond the minds of his time. The power of non-violence. Of non-aggression. The power to not re-act but to act.
“Our task must be to free ourselves… by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature and its beauty.” ~ Albert Einstein
